Preparation

Discuss Responsibility

Initial interviews are scheduled through Calendly. They are scheduled to and based on the shared Onboarding Calendar. Once an appointment is scheduled, it will be posted to the Discord channel. Decide with your teammates who is available and will take responsibility for facilitating the initial call.

Always make sure that at least one expert Data Steward will attend the call. You can check the calendar invite for confirmations or ask in the channel if you are not sure.

Prepare the Client's Notion Page, Miro Board, and Proposal

Notion

As soon as a new DAO client creates a Calendly call for the initial consultation, Notion automatically creates a page for them under GitBook CRM. Clicking into the Client's page provides you with an area to document who will take responsibility, steps take, and next steps.

Once you have decided to take the lead on a project, select your name in the "Assignee" section to indicate that you have taken responsibility.

Miro

Once you have decided to take responsibility, you will need to make a copy of the DAO Onboarding Miro Board Template. This is where you will take your notes from the Consultation Call.

To duplicate the DAO Onboarding Miro Board Template,

  • Click " V2 DAO Onboarding Template" in the left hand corner

  • Select duplicate

  • Save the Miro Board with as *Client Name* - DAO Onboarding

  • In the copy, replace "DAO Name" in the black header box to the name of the DAO

  • Paste the link into the notes section of the Client's Notion page so that it is easy to find on the day of the Consultation Call.

Proposal

To make the proposal process fast and easy, we prepare them beforehand. Before the Consultation Call, make a duplicate of the Proposal Template in Notion, by clicking the ... symbol and selecting "Duplicate".

Rename the proposal with the client's name as Client-Name Proposal. And fill their name into the red "[Client]" areas at the top. After the call, the proposal can be edited with more specified information if necessary.

Research the Client

Before the call, research the client for at least five minutes - gather basic knowledge from their landing page or try using the app for context. You can typically find out the project name from their email address on the calendar invite. You can also search LinkedIn, Google and Twitter to check who's on the call.

Make note of your findings in the Notes Section of the Client's Notion Page, and briefly review before the Consultation call.
