Create a long-term project

A long-term project is a project that repeats at a specific frequency, for example, every month or every two weeks. It can be very abstract work for the representative of a department or simply work that needs to be done on a continuous basis.

1. Define your role

Write out all responsibilities you can think of as part of your role. They don't have to be detailed or specific, they can be very high-level and abstract. But they should make it clear to others what your work and responsibilities consist of.

2. Decide on a supervisor/stakeholder

Decide on someone who can hold you accountable and understands the work you are doing. They will be prompted to review your work regularly and potentially give you feedback. Ideally, your supervisor should be at the same level of responsibility or higher. They need to have completed work in the past.

3. Create the project

Use this Typeform to create the project. It will create a new project in Notion and ping you and your supervisor in Discord.

4. Set up a reminder in Zapier

Use the template in Zapier (ask andrej for account details) and duplicate it under the name of your project.

5. Add important updates to the Notion page

During the process, feel free to add updates to the Notion page as you do work and produce artifacts. This will be useful for your stakeholder to review and keep track of the work you're doing.

6. Review progress with your supervisor/stakeholder

After each iteration of the project, your supervisor/stakeholder will have the chance to review the work with you and you can discuss whether anything needs adjustment or improvements.
